I Just finished reading the book FORGET ME NOT By: Willa Havisham I picked this book because i had to read realistic fiction this week and because I read the synopsis and it seemed interesting. The significance of this book is to always stay focused on what your doing.
The 2 reading strategies i used before reading the the book is skim and scan i Looked at the cover the back cover the title page the table of contents and more, another strategie i used is i asked myself what do i already know about this book. During the time i read i went back and reread some pages to understand what I'm reading the second strategie i used was and i looked through some pages while i was reading to see if there were words i didn't know. The reading strategies i used after reading were i asked my myself what did i read like what did i understand from the book, and i also Looked through some text features.
The genre of this book is realistic fiction, realistic fiction is like real life like they give you in the book places that are really places and the picture of the cover is a real picture its a little girl with a dog sitting in the beach. The characters are Willa Havisham-the main character, Joey Kennelly- Willa's Boyfriend, Stella Havishem-Willa's mom, and Tina-Willa's Best friend, they are flat and round. The setting is place is Wedding, Beach and Willa's house, The time is during summer time, The weather conditions is sunny. The exposition is Willa, Joey, Stella, Tina, Wedding, beach and Willa's house. The rising action is when Joey gets carried away in baseball games and doesn't have much time to hangout with Willa and her best friend Tina started hanging out with other people and when her mom told her that she can plan a wedding the bride turned into bridezilla. The Climax is Willa finds a dog and he smiles at her and understand her. The Falling Action is Willa talks to the dog like its her best friend and tells the dog the problems she has with her Boyfriend and Her Best friend Tina. The Resolution is that she started telling her problems to the dog and when the baseball league is over joey and Tina returns to Willa and she didn't really want to hang out with them because they weren't true friends when she needed them so from then her best friend was a dog. The Conflict is when Joey goes to Baseball Games and gets really involved with Baseball and doesn't really pay attention to Willa and Tina also met someone else and doesn't really pay attention to Willa
The Tone is sad, excited, and happy. The Mood is is sad, Excited, and happy. The Theme is Believe in yourself. The Moral is always believe in yourself and trust the ones you love. The point Of view is First Person. The patterns of organization is Compare and contrast. The authors Purpose is to believe in yourself. The authors Perspective is Objective and Bias.
My opinion about this book its a really good book like at the beginning at the first 3 chapters i didn't understand what was going on then i started to understand more so i went back and reread some pages. I rate this book 4/5 it was a really nice book.
Sincerely,
Noy Nahumi
