Author: Perry Stein

Source:The Miami Herald

The topic of the article is : about a person who worked in the military during Christmas time.

The main idea of the article is:about a person in a military during the holiday time. (implied/stated)

The author’s purpose for writing this article is to:inform

The author’s perspective in this article is objective/subjective (biased) because:its objective because the main idea was implied.

The pattern of organization of the article is:compare and contrast.

The reason the author chose this pattern for the article is: to compare what people are doing and to contrast what happened after that.

The text features included in the article are: Holidays,The Bomb, and the people.

Holiday  helps by celebrating with family.

The bomb  helps by he was interrupted when he was sitting in the military.

The people helps by hearing the bomb when it interrupted in the military.

This article is about (a summary in your own words) what happened back then how the bomb hit the military.

The significance (importance) of this article is to be friendly.

What I learned from this article is its good to inform people and be friendly.

What I liked about this article is when the bomb hit the military it was an exciting part.

What I did not like about it is that it was kind of boring like the article.

Who should read this article and why old people should read this and middle aged not teens.

This article reminds me of (text-to-self) the book i read that is a memoir.

(text-to-text) a book i read that was a memoir.

(text-to-world) about a family member that was in the military and heard a bomb.
