Readers Journal #19 The Programming Model of Creation-By:James Haines- January 10,2012

Dear Mrs.Zrihen,

I just finished reading half of the book THE PROGRAMMING MODEL OF CREATION By James Haines. I picked this book because i had to read science fiction and it also seemed interesting. The significance of the book is that you can always try, even if you fail..it doesn't matter if you fail, at least you tried. The 2 reading strategies i used before reading were i skimmed and scanned the title page, the synopsis, and authors page, the second strategy i used was i predicted what the book would think would happen in the future. The 2 strategies i used during the time i read were i went back to chapter 1,2,3 to understand what was going on more, the second strategy i used was i looked for some new words i didn't know. The 2 strategies i used after i finished reading were i asked myself what did i understand from the book, The second strategy i used was i looked for some more features.

The genre of the book is Science Fiction. The characters in my book are scientists. The setting in the book is Labs, country's and the united states. The exposition is scientists, Labs, country's and the united states. The rising action is when the world try's to make new stuff. The climax is when they think to develop new technology and more things that can help you each day. The falling action is when  they think flying cars are gonna be invented and phones the are  gonna be voice controlling. The Resolution is when all those things are gonna be invented...life is gonna be a little easier. The conflict is when the world try's to make new stuff, the type of the conflict is Man Vs. Nature.

The tone of the book is relaxed and happy. The mood of book is  relaxed and happy. The theme of the book is you can always try something even if you fail at it. The moral of the book is you can always try something even if you fail at it. The point of view is 1st and 3rd person. The pattern of organization is compare and contrast. The authors purpose is to entertain and inform. The authors perspective is the authors.

I think the book is kind of boring because i don't like science fiction. but some parts were interesting like what till happen with the technology. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends because i know the wont like this book too.  i rate this book 6/10 because it was boring and i didn't like it much.

                                Sincerely,
                                               Noy Nahumi
