Readers Journal #20 The Programming Model of Creation-By:James Haines- January 17,2012

Dear Mrs.Zrihen,

I just finished reading the book THE PROGRAMMING MODEL OF CREATION By James Haines. I picked this book because i had to read science fiction and it also seemed interesting. The significance of the book is that you can always try, even if you fail at it.The 2 reading strategies i used before reading were i skimmed and scanned the title page, the synopsis, and authors page, the second strategy i used was i predicted what the book would think would happen in the future. The 2 strategies i used during the time i read were i went back to chapter 7,8, and 9 to understand what was going on more, because i was confused by whats going on,the second strategy i used was i looked for some new words i didn't know. The 2 strategies i used after i finished reading were i asked myself what did i understand from the book, The second strategy i used was i looked for some more features like pictures or text boxes.

The genre of the book is Science Fiction. The characters in my book are scientists and people who see the future. The setting in the book is Labs, country's,united states and outer space. The exposition is scientists, Labs, country's,united states and outer space. The rising action is when the world try's to make new stuff and they are thinking how is it going to help the world. The climax is when they think to develop new technology and more things that can help you each day, or how is it going to affect the world. The falling action is when they think flying cars are gonna be invented and phones the are gonna be voice controlled. The Resolution is when all those things are gonna be invented, life is gonna be a little easier and you wont have to do much things. The conflict is when the world try's to make new stuff, the type of the conflict is Man Vs. Nature.

The tone of the book is relaxed and a little confused. The mood of book is relaxed and a little confused. The theme of the book is you can always try something even if you fail at it,at least you know you tried. The moral of the book is you can always try something even if you fail at it,at least you tried. The point of view is 1st and 3rd person. The pattern of organization is compare and contrast. The authors purpose is to inform and persuade. The authors perspective is the authors.

I didn't like the book that much because i don't like science fiction and the book was kind of boring. but i liked the parts where they talked about what technology they think will be invented. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends because i know they wont like this too and there gonna think its boring. I would rate this book 5/10 cause it was boring and it didn't interest me.

                        Sincerely,
                                       Noy Nahumi.
